Re:
Application of "Isidore P. Krupski"
for a change of zone from "A" Agricultural
and Residential to "C" Industrial,
Town of Southold (SD-80-9).
Dear Ms. Terry:
Pursuant to the requirements of Sections 1323 to 1332 of the Suffolk County
Charter, the Suffolk County Planning Commission on January 14, 1981 reviewed the
above captioned application and after due study and deliberation Resolved to dis-
approve it because of the following:
1. It is inconsistent with the Town of Southold Development Plan which desig-
nates this area for agricultural-single family residence development;
2. It constitutes the unwarranted further encroachment of industrial zoning
into a Residence District;
3. There appears to be ample available industrial zoned land in the surround-
ing area; and
It would tend to establish a precedent for further downzonings along
b~ddle Road (C.R. 27) adversely affecting the safety and traffic carrying
capacity of said facility.
Very truly yours,
Lee E. Koppelman

North by P~ttiuck Gun Club, Inc., And Skirel, East by Comiskey

2. I do hereby petition the Town Board of the Towu of Southold to change, modify and
amend the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Saffolk County, New York,
including the Building Zone Maps hereto, fo.r.e made. a part thereof,.a.s, follows:
Rezone the 9.467 acres from A Residential to C industrial.
3. Such reques~ is made for the following reasons:
The aforementioned property is bounded on the North by the
bfattiuck §un club who's gun pit directly boarders on the
North line of the aforementioned property/ The aforementioned
property is also across the street from the West side from
property that is now zoned "C" industrial/ The aformentioned
property is also bounded on the South by ~R27 which is a four
lane h~hway. All of the above mentioned resons make any
e~fo£t by the owner to sell any or all of this parcel as
residential property quite impossible, also because of the
small size of this property it's value as agricultural use
is quite small, it is and has been a financial burden upon
itfs owner and if rezoned could be not only a benifit to
it's owner but also to ~he town fs need for additional
zoned property. Plese see at~ached letter about an application

Gentleman;
In 1974 I applied for this same
zone change from"A" residential, ~icult~ral
to"C" Industrial. At the time of the afore2
mentioned application my son, Robert, who
represented me was asked by the tow~ board
to withdraw the application without predudice
as the board was looking into rezoning the
entire area surrounding my property, The
application was withdrawn in a letter to the
late town supervisor ~. Albert b~rtocchia
dated May 23, 1974. Since this letter was sent
~here ha~ been no action to my knowledge of the
ow~ tak~n~ any action, therefore the attached
application.
