Y. 11971 PLANNING BOARD MEMBERS Jehh Wickham, (~halrman Henry Molaa Alfred Grebe William Unkelbach Frank Coyle Report to: Southold Town Board 16 South Street Greenport, New York February 7, 1968 Gentlemen: This is to certify that the following action was taken by the Southold Town Planning Board at a regular meeting held on February 1, 1968: In the matter of the petition of Thomas and Florence Jurzenia, Silvermere Road, Greenport, New York, relative to a change of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to "M" MUltiple Residence District on certain real property situated at Greenport, in the Town of Southold, County of Suffolk, and state of New York, and more particularly bonnded and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the easterly side of Silvermere Road where the present "M" Zone district line intersects the easterly line of Silvermere Road; running thence No 15° 21' 30" E.- 250 feet more or less to the land of Long Island Railroad; running thence along the land of the Long Island Railroad on the arc of a radius of 2832 feet, more or less, 108.06 feet to a point on the southerly line of land of Long Island Railroad; running thence along the southerly line of land of Long Island Railroad N. 84° 30' 10" E.- 848.33 feet to land of Toner; running thence along land of Toner S. 6° 20' 50" W. 896.18 feet to ordinary highwater mark of Pipes Cove; thence generally westerly along ordinary ghih water mark of Pipes Cove to the present "M" zone district line; running thece through land of Jurzenia along the present "M" zone district line N. 4° 28' 20" W. 500 feet more or less to a point; running thence through land of Jurzenia along the present "M" zone district line S. 85° 31' 40" W.- 600 feet more or less to the point or place of beginning. It was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board does not favorably recommend to the Southold Town Board the change of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District Report to: Southold Town Board February 8, 1968 to "M" Multiple Residence District on the property described herein. The property involved is 17 acres, and the Planning Board has never recommended an "M" District of this size. The acreage involved is more acreage than needed for the intended use. Suchrequestis made forthe folloxving reasons: We believe that this entire parcel should be zoned as one peice. The part now zoned "M" multiple residence and the s~rroundung part included in this application being one unit. The area is currently being used for multiple residence purposes and the probable future use will be a~ expansion of this use~ We expt~T to in the near future~ use this property for an expansion of our business which is tourist and recreational activities which are an essential part of the Towns economic welfare.
