I'm including a second option for mounting the 2x2s we might consider: mounting them above the 2x6s rather than in between them. If there is no preference from your end I was going to make a decision once the frame was built and I could lay out both options for my wife. If you need me to decide in advance let me know. In either case the 6x6 posts will be notched to accept the 2x6s before being screwed together using the 4.5" HeacILOK structural screws. Happy New Year and let me know if there are questions. I'll be doing final grading in the spring once the plants come in. An inspection can happen anytime. As a reminder, I did call for inspection two years ago and reasonably thought it had been taken care of at that time. It wasn't until the bill for extending the permit came in that I found out that that was not the case. The pictures I sent previously, attached again here, show the concrete-filled sonotubes pre final grading., I attach an additional pic pre-backfilling but I do not have a pic looking down the sonotube to the compacted gravel below. I do have receipts for the purchase of four 12' cedar posts, four 14" x 4' sonotubes, and the concrete mix necessary to fill them, if that would be helpful additional evidence of their depth and dimension. I'd also be willing to attest to the work being performed as drawn as I did the work myself. Thanks.
