Agreed to ask Board to ask John Sep to create an app for the routes to show up on the website and hopefully from there to be useable in google maps. 5. Mattituck follow up—from Minutes of last mtg: Discussion about what might be done, determined that NYSDOT should be asked to help help figure out the problems and come up with solutions. Specific issues include: 1. Westbound combo lane with right-straight onto Sound Ave with new offset alignment and without a stop control results in driver and pedestrian confusion. 2. The current businesses on the south side of#25 have been underperforming because foot traffic cannot cross two streams of traffic with poor sight-lines to get there. The Master Plan intends for new commercial and community housing to be located within hamlets having transit access such as this location. There are undeveloped properties as well as a pending community park on this south side. 3. Important to involve the business community who raised their concerns to the Town Board about the #25 crosswalks. Anne and Al will be attending the annual Merchants Assoc. meeting this month. Anne will ask to get the issue on their agenda to hear their concerns as well as letting them know that the NYSDOT will be doing a study of the crosswalks between New Suffolk Ave and the school by Dec. 2024. She and Al will discuss with Heather for Zoning Code update issues that relate. She will bring back the Merchants feedback to help frame a letter from Town Board to NYSDOT requesting a more complete and long-term plan. With Heather's help it will include the zoning code update issues, parking and traffic needs. 6. Factory Ave: Anne? 7. Speed limit town-wide- Update from attorney? 8. County traffic task force.
