Proposed Draft Letter from Town Board to Founders Landing President:
We have received complaints about pick-up trucks parking along Youngs Avenue because Founders Village
prohibits its residents from parking them within the complex. This may be a misunderstanding as non-commercial
trucks are a popular and common vehicle owned by Southold residents. Town Code requires that housing
developments provide resident parking. Can you please reassure the Founders Village community that they can
park their personal vehicles including trucks on premises. If you wish to clarify the situation or discuss this further,
please request that the Town Clerk arrange for you to be on the agenda of a Transportation Commission meeting.
