TOWN OF SOUTHOLD February 18, 2025 David Bergen Sol Searcher Consulting PO Box 1008 Cutchogue, NY 11935 RE: NEIL &AMY MCGOLDRICK 1671 MEADOWYBEACH LANE, MATTITUCK SCTM# 1000-116-4-16.4 Dear Mr. Bergen: The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, En-Consultants on behalf of NEIL &AMY MCGOLDRICK applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated November 25, 2024, and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council and to the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program Coordinator for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, the LWRP Coordinator issued a recommendation that the application be found Consistent with the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program policy standards, and, WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on February 12, 2025, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, 2 WHEREAS, the proposal complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees have found the application to be Consistent with the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program, and, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees APPROVE the application of NEIL &AMY MCGOLDRICK to remove and replace in place existing bulkhead and 14' long norther return with an overall combined length of f229'; elevation of new bulkheading to be raised 18" above existing top cap; bulkhead and return to have vinyl sheathing with 10" diameter pilings 6' on- center, 6"x6"whalers, vertical deadmen with horizontal lay-logs or helix screws for backing system with a fiberglass grated top cap along the entire length; perform reclamation dredging limited to the existing boat basin to a maximum depth of 4'; approx. 15 cubic yards of dredge material to be placed behind raised bulkhead; remove as-built wood dock, ramp and floats install a 3'x16' ramp to a 6'x20' floating dock situated in a "I" configuration and secured by two (2) 8" diameter anchor pilings; install water and electric to the dock; remove north and south beach access stairs, reinstall southern 3'x6' beach access stairs using non-treated lumber; install 36" high fall protection fencing; and to establish and perpetually maintain a 10' wide non- turf buffer along the landward side of the entire bulkhead; all as depicted on the site plan prepared by David Bergen & Ken Quigley, received on January 29, 2025, and stamped approved on February 12, 2025. Permit to construct and complete project will expire three years from the date the permit is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. Inspections are required at a fee of$50.00 per inspection. (See attached schedule.) The Permittee is required to provide evidence that a copy of this Trustee permit has been recorded with the Suffolk County Clerk's Office as a notice covenant and deed restriction to the deed of the subject parcel. Such evidence shall be provided within ninety(90)calendar days of issuance of this permit. 9. That the said Board will be notified by the Permittee of the completion of the work authorized. 10. There were a few things we noted that need to be addressed before moving forward: 1) We couldn't find a permit for the existing dock as is. The dock will need to be permitted in order to remove and replace it; 2) The dock needs to be shown on the"proposed"side of the plans you submitted; 3) The line for the 10' buffer is extremely faint on the print-out. It's barely visible, especially when eventually scanned to Laserfiche. Same for the dredging area. Could you please darken those areas and have them reprinted? I believe that is it for now. Thanks!
