Gentlemen:
This is to certify that the following action was taken
by the Southold Town Planning Board at a meeting held on
March 10, 1964:
In the matter of the proposal of the Southold ~Dwn
Board to amend the provisions of the Building zone Ordinance
by amending Article III, Section 300 by adding thereto a new
part to be Paragraph 1 (a) to read as follows:
I (a) The conversion of any building in
existance at the effective date hereof to
two family dwelling when authorized as a
special exception by the Board of Appeals
as hereinafter provided.
It is hereby'RESOLVED that the Planning Board favorably
recommends to the Town Board this proposed amendment to the
Building Zone Ordinance.
The Planning Board feels this amendment is very necessary
in cases of large older dwellings which are too large for one
family use but perfectly suitable for two ~milies. It should
be pointed out that on March 8, 1962 the Planning Board favorably
recommended a similar amendment to the Building Zone Ordinance.
Respectfully submitted,
John Wickham, Chairman
Southold Town P]m%ning Board
