"LEGAL NOTICE, NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSAL TO AMEND ZONING
ORDINANCE. Pursuant to Section 265 of the Town Law and Article IX
of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, public hearings will be held by the Southold Town
Board at the office of the Supervisor, 16 South Street, Greenport,
New York, in said town on the 28th day of November, 1961 at 7:30
o'clock in the evening of said day, on the following proposals
to amend the Building Zone Ordinance(including the Building Zone

TO THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD:

Suffolk County, New York, the undersigned, am the owner of certain real property situated at
N~..~.t...~.~. and more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the northerly line of Naugles Drive at the
southwesterly corner of land of Mrs. Stanley Naugles and the south-
easterly corner of land of Thomas H. DeWulf, and being the south-
westerly corner of the existing "B" Business District; running thence
along the northerly line of said Naugles Drive, S.71°19'50"W- 150.0
feet; thence along land of Fenmore, two courses, as follows:
(1) N. 18°40'10''W- 190.78 feet; thence (2) N. 32°53'W- 6.0 feet; thence
along land of Tree-Plateau Co., Inc. N.53°48'10"E- 157.09 feet; thence
along land of said Naugles, being the westerly boundary of the exist-
ing "B" Business District, two courses, as follows: (1) S.34~58'10"
E. 6.0 feet; thence (2) S.18°40'10"E- 238.15 feet to the point of
beginning.
2. I do hereby petition the Town Board of the 'rown of Southold to change, modify and
amend the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York,
including the Building Zone Maps heretofore made a part thereof, as follows:
Change of zone from "C" Industrial District to "B" Business District.
3. Such request is made for the following reasons: I am owner of "C" District
property which ran from Naugles Drive to Mattituck Inlet, I~aving
sold the level and usable "C" District Land to Tree-Plateau Co.,
Inc., keeping this described property on hill for use as residential
purposes. Residences not being allowed in "C" District I wish to
change this property and annex it to the adjoining "B" District.
There is a residence on this premises which I wish to move to the
rear of the property and build a new year-around home on the front
of the lot faci~3Naugles Drive.
