ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD ON JANUARY 7,2025: RESOLVED,that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby ratifies and approves the Memorandum of Agreement between the Town of Southold and the CSEA dated December 13, 2024, which amends the collective bargaining agreement covering the period January 1,2023 through December 31,2026,by altering the salary scale for the Assistant Senior Citizen Center Manager and fiirther authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,Albert J Krupski,Jr.to execute said Memorandum of Agreement; subject to the approval of the Town Attorney Denis Noncarrow Southold Town Clerk RESULT: ADOPTED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Greg Doroski, Councilman SECONDER:Brian O. Mealy, Councilman AYES: Doroski, Mealy, Smith,Krupski Jr,Doherty,Evans 12/19/24 rA Memorandum of Agreement made thiA day of December 2024 by and between the Town of Southold and the Civil Service Employees Association Inc., Local 1000,AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Southold Unit 8785 ("the CSEA"). WHEREAS,the Town and the CSEA are parties to a collective bargaining agreement ("the CBA") covering the period January 1,2023—December 31, 2026 (the"CBA"); and WHEREAS,the CBA sets forth the salary scale for, among other titles covered by the CSEA bargaining unit,the Assistant Senior Citizen Center Manager title; and WHEREAS, in order to remain competitive in the job market,the Town Board desires to increase the salary scale for the Assistant Senior Citizen Center Manager title; and WHEREAS,the CSEA is amenable to same. NOW,THEREFORE, in consideration of the recitals set forth above,which are fully incorporated herein, and in consideration of the mutual covenants set forth below,the parties hereby stipulate and agree as follows: 1. Effective January 1, 2025,and notwithstanding anything in the CBA to the contrary, the salary scale for the Assistant Senior Citizen Center Manager will be as set forth in the attached"Appendix A."This salary scale will receive the 2%increase set forth in CBA Section 27 for 2026 only. 2 This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Town and the CSEA regarding increases to the Assistant Senior Citizen Center Manager salary scale.No other promises have been made, oral or otherwise. 3. This Agreement, including this paragraph, may not be modified except by a written agreement between the parties. 4. The language of all parts of this Agreement will be construed as a whole,according to its fair meaning and not strictly for or against any of the parties, even though one of the parties may have drafted it. 5. This Agreement may be executed with original signatures in counterparts, or by facsimile or PDF-scanned signatures in counterparts,which will be deemed legally binding as fully as an original signature. 6. This Agreement is subject to ratification by the Town Board.
