OF GENVIEVE N AUGLES :.. v_ ..... 1~ ± - _~ .... c cc _ _-_ - - - ~__ - :-~-- ~ z _ . ~ SUPERVISOR KLIPP: I will read the report of the Southold Town Planning Board to the Southold Town Board: "Gent lemen: This is to certify that the following action was taken by the Southold Town Planning Board at its meeting of April ~U, 1959: In the matter of the petition of Genevieve Naugles for a change of zone from "A" Residential-Agrucultural to "B" Business District' certain real property situated at Mattituck, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a point on ~the northerly line of Naugles Drive, 1638 feet, more or less, easterly along said northerly line from Luther's Road, said point of beginning being the southeasterly corner of land of DeWulf; from said point of beginning running northerly along said land of DeWulf, 431 feet, more or less, to the southerly line of a 30 foot right-of-way; thence easterly along said southerly line of said 30 foot right-of-way, 60 feet, more or less; thence northerly across said 30 foot right-of-way and along land of Cavaliere and Pardo, 310 feet, more or less, to Mattituck Inlet; thence southeasterly along said Mattituck Inlet, 650 feet, more or less, to land of Chambers; thence southwesterly along said land of Chambers, 360 feet, more 3 or less, to said northerly line of said Naugles Drive; thence westerly along said northerly line of Naugles Drive, 107 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Containing 4 acres, more of less; it is here Resolved, that the Planning Board recommend to the Town Board that the change from "A" to "B" be made on property included in the legal desctiption by Otto W. Van Tuyl & Son dated January 31, 1949 and amended March lO 1959 The Planning Board has visited this property and feel that this is a suitable location for a fishing station. The property faces on Federal waters which has recently 'been improved by government agencies. It is also nearby to a "C" Industrial District of similar use. Fu rthe r, the Planning Board feels that some business development of our waterfront is in the best interest of the Town of Southo ld." This is signed by John Wickham, Chairman, Southold Town Planning Board. SUPERVISOR KLIPP: At this time is there any .person who wishes to be heard in favor of the relief asked for in the petition? MRS. GENEVIEVE NAUGLES (Southold, New York): I am Just wondering if it is going to pass. Right now I have no intention of making a row boat station. Maybe some day what I intend to do is dredge all the way out there and make it a boat station like my home. MR. HOWARD TERRY; They have larger boats rather than row boats. I~RS. NAUGLES: Yes, I have no intention to go out in the inlet. The Federal law would not let you go out there. MR. TERRY: It would be more of a marina. MRS. NAUGLES: Some day I would like to turn it into a business, if I should sell it and turn it into a business. You could not put homes on the meadows. SUPERVISOR KLIPP: Is there any other person who wishes to be heard in favor of the application? (There was no response. ) SUPERVISOR KLIPP: Is there any person who wishes to be heard in opposition to the application? (There was no response. ) SUPERVISOR KLIPP: Hearing none, we will close the hearing at this time for the further deliberation of the Board. On motion of Mr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Demarest, and unanimously carried, the application of Genevieve Naugles for a change of zone from "A" Residential- Agricultural to "B" Business District of the previously described property was granted.
