Compensation shall be at a municipal rate of$250.00 per hour. Additional expenses subject to reimbursement shall include, but are not limited to, travel time, telecopies, photocopying and printing fees. Invoices submitted on a monthly or quarterly basis under the terms of this retainer agreement shall be a legal charge to the 2025 Community Preservation Fund budget line CM.8660.2.500.100 (Legal Counsel). Box 1179 LAND PREsrm VATIO'N DEFT Southold, New York 11971own ol ol RE: 2025 Retainer Agreement Dear Supervisor Krupski: The letter shall confirm that I would be pleased to serve as special counsel to the Town of Southold in certain matters related to the Town's land preservation program for the year 2025. Upon the request of Lillian McCullough, Executive Assistant, Land Preservation Department, I will prepare and negotiate agreements for the purchase of fee interests or lesser interests in real property, for open space and farmland preservation parcels as designated by the Community Preservation Project Plan, attend closings, and perform legal research and any other required professional legal services related to these duties. My work will focus on the Open Space as well as the Farmland protection component of the Town's land preservation efforts. My professional time shall be billed at a municipal rate of$250.00 per hour. Other additional expenses shall include travel time, telecopies, photocopying and printing fees. Services shall be submitted in the proper voucher form and invoice, on a monthly or quarterly basis, as required by the Comptroller's Office. Any fee understanding to the contrary of the terms set forth in this letter shall be acknowledged by me in writing. Please confirm your agreement to this retainer by signing the enclosed copy and returning same to me. I would like to thank you for this opportunity to work with you in this capacity and to assist Southold Town in the preservation of its natural resources and scenic beauty.
