Located: 1663 Bridge Lane, Cutchogue. SCTM# 1000-118.-2-4.2 The proposed_action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the action is CONSISTENT with the LWRP. Past Wetland Permits (229, 5759, 5-14-89-118-2-11.2)were issued for the action. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action. All applicants for permits* including Town of Southold agencies, shall complete this CCAF for proposed actions that are subject to the Town of Southold Waterfront Consistency Review Law. This assessment is intended to supplement other information used by a Town of Southold agency in making a determination of consistency. *Except minor exempt actions including Building Permits and other ministerial permits not located within the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area. 2. Before answering the questions in Section C, the preparer of this form should review the exempt minor action list, policies and explanations of each policy contained in the Town of Southold Local Waterfront Revitalization Program. A proposed action will be evaluated as to its sienificant beneficial and adverse effects upon the coastal area(which includes all of Southold Town). 3. If any question in Section C on this form is answered "yes" or "no", then the proposed action will affect the achievement of the LWRP policy standards and conditions contained in the consistency review law. Thus, each answer must be explained in detail, listing both supporting and non- supporting facts. If an action cannot be certified as consistent with the LWRP policy standards and conditions,it shall not be undertaken. Project Description The purpose of this permit application is to apply for a maintenance dredging permit for the entrance to Wunneweta Lagoon, located in Cutchogue in the Town of Southold. This project includes dredging over an area of approximately 4,125 SF at the Wunneweta Lagoon entrance to provide adequate depth for navigation. All dredging will be performed within the limits of Wunneweta Lagoon entrance as shown on the dredging plan. Dredging will be performed to approximately 5"-below apparent low water elevation. Approximately 550 CY of material will be excavated and dried on adjacent land where it shall remain and be the final disposal area. See final placement area shown on the plan (11,600 SF). A clam shell bucket shall be used on either a barge mounted crane and/or land mounted crane to perform the dredging/excavation operation. All dredging will be performed during approved NYSDEC and ACOE dredging windows. A turbidity curtain will be installed to enclose the dredging area. It is notable that dredging of 550 CY of material was authorized at this location under NYSDEC Permit 1-4738-00298/00013. Dredging for this project was performed in 2013.
