HOUSING CODE INSPECTION

Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-existing Certificate
of Occupancy, I made an inspection of this one-story, framed
dwelling. I picked up keys from the North Fork Agency, North
Road, Southold, and began this inspection at approximately
11:30 A.M.
The building consists of three bedrooms, living room,
kitchen, and a full bathroom. A screened porch on west side
of building protects entry to kitchen. oun a ion of building
is cement block partially full with a garage door on the south
side. Heat is furnished to all rooms from an oil-fired, forced
warm air furnace located in an enclosure within center bedroom.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52 ,
Town of Southold, were found:
Dining Area: ceiling fixture - removed fixture, electrical
wire hanging from ceiling, Article V, Section
52-56 A 1.
Entrances: to kitchen and living room from exterior,
no means of controlling light in room on
entry, Article V, Section 52-56 B 2.
Furnace: and hot water heater located in room used for
sleeping, Article V, Section 52-53 D. Warm
air furnace of downflow type installed on com-
bustable material and rear of furnace insuf-
ficient clearance to combustable material,
Article V, Section 52-53 F.
Inspection completed at approximately 12 :00. Key was re-
turned to Robert Gillispie III at the North Fork Agency.
