Also Present: Kim Fuentes, Coordinator; Julie McGivney,Asst. Town Attorney; and Councilwoman Jill Doherty 3:15 P.M. Motion was offered to open the meeting. Vote of the Commission: Ayes: Commissioners Surchin, Wexler, Woodhouse and Ketcham. (This Resolution was duly adopted 4-0). WORK SESSION: Discussions: Harry Haralambou, 1415 Indian Neck Lane, Peconic, SCTM# 1000-86-5-2, Res. No. 06.27.2024.1 —Request approval from Commission for completed improvements. Eric Anderson/Kelly Peragallo, 1675 Lower Road, Southold, SCTM No. 1000-69-5-3.12— Res.No. 05.2.3.2024.1. Request approval from Commission for window replacement. The Commission agreed that both projects listed above to be satisfactory, and further approved the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy. The Coordinator will communicate their satisfactory remarks with the applicant and the Building Department. Review Applications (1) HUGH AND LEAH MCBRIDE - 1180 NAVY STREET—(By Meryl Kramer) for a Certificate of Appropriateness under Section 170-7(b) of the Southold Town Code at a registered landmark property to construct alterations and additions to an existing single family dwelling, located at 1180 Navy Street, Orient,NY. SCTM No. 1000-25-4-4. (AW) • Meryl Kramer, Architect, appeared before the Commission on behalf of the applicants. • The existing wood used as siding will be salvaged and reinstalled. It is currently moldy due to lack of ventilation. Page 2, Minutes of Meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission November 14, 2024 • The floor plan of the single story home will be reconfigured. • Basement stairs to be moved; and a second means of egress will be created in the basement • Roof shingles to be asphalt • Some existing windows would be relocated. No new windows will be installed in front of home, visible from the street. • The Commission is satisfied with materials list shown on the plans, revised October 31, 2024, prepared by Meryl Kramer. • As indicated in the Notice of Disapproval and the application presented to the Commission,the applicant will require relief from the Zoning Board of Appeals for front yard setback. • During the Regular Meeting, the Commission will vote to move this matter to a Public Hearing. REGULAR MEETING: Called to Order: 3:29 PM Commissioner Surchin,seconded by Commissioner Woodhouse to open the Regular Meeting. Vote of the Commission:AYES: Commissioner Surchin,Wexler,Woodhouse, and Ketcham (4- 0). Motion approved. Pledge of Allegiance APPROVAL OF MINUTES:A Motion was made to approve the prior meeting minutes of September 26,2024 and October 24,2024 by Commissioner Wexler, seconded by Commissioner Surchin. Vote of the Commission:AYES: Commissioner Surchin,Woodhouse, Wexler, and Ketchum. (4-0). Motion approved. HUGH AND LEAH MCBRIDE—1180 NAVY STREET Commissioner Woodhouse voted to move this matter(reviewed during Work Session)to a Public Hearing,seconded by Commissioner Wexler. Vote of the Commission:AYES: Commissioner Surchin, Woodhouse,Wexler,and Ketchum. (4-0). Motion approved. Meeting Adiourned: 3:32 P.M. Motion to adjourn the public meeting was made by Commissioner Surchin, seconded by Commissioner Woodhouse, all in favor(4-0). Motion approved.
