Regular Meeting Minutes
TOWN HALLANNEX CONFERENCE ROOM
Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM
Attendees: Commissioner Surchin(Vice Chair), Commissioner Wexler, Commissioner de Conciliis,
and Commissioner Ketchum.
Also Present: Kim Fuentes, Coordinator
3:32 P.M. Motion was offered to open the meeting. Vote of the Commission: Ayes: Commissioners
Surchin, Wexler, de Conciliis and Ketcham. (This Resolution was duly adopted 4-0).
PRE-SUBMISSION CONFERENCE: None
WORK SESSION: None
REGULAR MEETING: Called to Order: 3:32 PM
Commissioner de Conciliis, seconded by Commissioner Surchin to open the Regular Meeting.
Vote of the Commission:AYES: Commissioner Surchin,Wexler, de Conciliis, and Ketcham (4-
0). Motion approved.
Pledge of Allegiance
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion to approve the prior meeting minutes. Since not all members
were present to approve the minutes of September 25, 2024, the vote to approve the minutes will be
tabled until the next meeting.
Application Review: 3:32 PM
SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH BAPTIST CHURCH—County 48, Southold48, Southold—Application for Landmark/Church
to be added to the Town's Registry of Historic Landmarks, located at 51820 County Road 48,
Southold, SCTM No. 1000-135-3-22.
• Tara Cubie,past commissioner, appeared before the Commission on behalf of Shiloh Baptist
Church.
• The site is included in NYS Parks and Recreation SPLIA Inventory List as well as eligible for
National Registration of Historic Places.

• A letter was written by the Southold Town Board to Recommend the Site to the National
Registration of Historic Places.
A Motion was made by Commissioner Ketcham and seconded by Commissioner Wexler to
to recommend to the Southold Town Board that the property be added to the Southold
Town Registry of Historic Landmarks. Vote of the Commission:AYES: Commissioner
Surchin,Wexler, de Conciliis, and Ketcham (4-0). Motion approved.
Meeting Adiourned: 3:47 P.M.
Motion to adjourn the public meeting was made by Commissioner Surchin, seconded by
Commissioner de Conciliis, all in favor(4-0). Motion approved.
Next HPC work session and regular meeting, with Zoom access, scheduled for November 14,
2024 in the Annex Building, Second Floor Conference Room.
