Dear Mr. Goldsmith:
We have been retained by Pamela Valentine, owner of a presently vacant parcel known as 1675
Birds Eye Road, Orient, for the purpose of evaluating the most optimal design for the potential
development of the property with a small dwelling.
We would thus like to visit the property with the Board on a pre-submission basis to review a
potential house location and means of access given the Phragmites-dominated wetland area in the
front of the property, which we understand may be a managed drainage/mosquito control area.
This area is not a New York State regulated freshwater wetland, so the Board of Trustees is the
only regulatory agency having freshwater wetlands jurisdiction over the project.
To that end, enclosed herewith are a copy of a survey prepared by Kenneth M. Woychuk Land
Surveying,PLLC,last dated April 9,2024;a plot sketch based on the survey depicting a conceptual
house footprint,which will be lathed out for the pre-submission meeting; signed Board of Trustees
"Affidavit" and"Authorization" forms; and a check for$150.
Should you require any additional information prior to meeting me at the site,please let me know,
and I thank you for your attention to our request.
