Dear Mr. Goldsmith:
We have been retained by Jan Nicholson, as Trustee of the Jan Nicholson Living Trust, for the purpose of
exploring the feasibility of obtaining permits to replace and extend an existing seawall/bulkhead return,and
armor it with toe stone,which we expect will need to be extended by the Town Highway Department across
the end of the adjacent, severely eroded roadway(see below photos). In addition to the damage at the end
of the road, the easterly end of Ms. Nicholson's vegetated embankment has suffered significant damage
and loss of vegetation.

Therefore, as a first step in discussing remediation efforts on behalf of Ms. Nicholson that will inevitably
require approval and cooperation from the Board of Trustees and Highway Department, I am writing to
request a pre-submission site meeting with the Board during your next available field inspections. To that
end, please find enclosed a survey prepared by Young Associates, last dated July 23, 2024; a check for
$150 payable to the Trustees;and"Board of Trustees Application"affidavit and agent authorization forms.
Should you require any additional information prior to meeting me at the site, please let me know, and I
thank you for your attention to our request.
