Board of Trustees Town of Southold
The purpose of this letter is to request a pre-application meeting with the Board of Trustees to
discuss possible solutions to an erosion problem affecting my property located on East(Eugene's)
Creek at 4605 Stillwater Avenue in Cutchogue. I have been advised that possible solutions could
include:
a) Extension of an existing bulkhead return on the north side of the property
b) Installation of riprap
c) Installation of coir logs
As background, my neighbor Greg Pellegrini petitioned the Board on August 21,2024,to remove a
badly undermined tree that was threatening damage to both of our properties. The Board
authorized trimming or removal of the tree on August 27,2024. The tree has since been removed
with stump left in place, however the erosion threat to both my property and that of my neighbor's
remains. Once I have the thoughts of the Board, I will advise my neighbor of the possible solutions.
He has expressed his willingness to take corrective action.
Attached are some photos for the Board to peruse prior to our meeting. I would also like to know if
my existing survey will suffice for this matter. If not,would a partial survey of the waterside area be
sufficient.
