Concerns are: Pedestrians crossing the Main Road to/from Village Lane where the visibility around the curve is poor and cars and trucks are going fast. i Bicycles turning onto Village Lane from Main Road where speeding cars turn onto Village Lane. Pedestrians crossing Village Lane along the Main Road where speeding cars turn onto Village Lane. There is a school crossing, but to get to the school from the southwest(e.g. Oysterponds Lane) still involves one of these dangerous street crossings. There are also a lot of pedestrians coming from Village Lane and crossing the Main Road to get to the bus stop across from the Candy Man. We have already requested hedge trimming on at 22540 Main Road, which would help with visibility, but the intersection will continue to be a problem. A crosswalk has been suggested, but we look to you for your expertise in this matter. Barbara Friedman President, the Orient Association cell: 917.846.0226 2
