There were present~ Robert W. Gillispie, Jr., Chairman, Robert Bergen and Herbert Rosenberg. Absent~ Messrs. Charles Grigonis, Jr., and Serge Doyen, Jr. Also present= Mr. Howard Terry, Building Inspector. Resolution was offered by Mr. Gillispie, seconded by Mr. Bergen, setting 7:30 P.M., Thursday, May 11, 1951 as time and Town Clerk Office, Main Road, Southold, New York, as place for hear/ng upon application of Frederick E. Gordon, Fifth Street, Greenport, New York, a/c Louis Wagner, Bay View Drive, EastMarion, New York, for a variance in accora~nce with the Zoning Ordinance, Article III, Section 304, for permission to reduce front yard setback. Location of property: north Southold Town Board of Appeals -2- May 2, 1961 side Bay View Drive, Ea~Marion, New York, Lots 39 and part of 40, Section 2, Gardiner's Bay Estates. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Rosenberg. Resolution was offered by Mr. Gillispie, seconded by Mr. Rosenberg, setting 7:45 P.M. (E.D.S.T.), Thursday, May 11, 1961, Town Clerk Office, Main Road, Southold, New York, as time and place for hearing upon application of Claudio Giovanelli and Fr~derick L. Schultze, d/b/a "G & S" Service Station, Route 25, Greenport, New York, for permission to extend the time limit for securing building permit. Location of property: south side Route 25, Greenport, New York, bounded north by Main Road, east by Robert Brown, south by Railroad, and west by E. E. Johnson. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Rosenberg. Resolution was offered by Mr. Gillispie, seconded by Mr. Bergen, setting 8:00 P.M. (E.D.S.T.), Thursday, May 11, 1961, Town Clerk Office, Main Road, Southold, New York, as time and place for hearing upon application of Robert Ketcham, Jr., Bay Lake Park, East Marion, New York, a/c Coronet Restaurant, Greenport, New York, for a special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article III, Section 300, Subsection 11, for permission to erect and maintain directional sign on the property of A. W. Fismer Estate, south side Hain Road, east of Bay Home Road, Southold, New York. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Rosenberg. Resolution was offered by Mr. Gillispie, seconded by Mr. Rosenberg, setting 8:15 P.M. (E.D.S.T.), Thursday, May 11, 1961, Town Clerk Office, Main Road, Scut hold, New York, as time and pace for hearing upon application of Arnold and MaryMitchell, Inc., Route 25, Orient, New York, for a special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article IV, Section 408, for pez,~ission to erect and maintain directional sign on the property of Gus A. Straussner, corner of North Road and Sound Avenue, Greenport, New York. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie~ Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Rosenberg. Krupski, northwest corner of Oregon Road and Depot Lane, Cutchogue, New York. Vote of the Board~ Ayes~- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Rosenberg. Bernhardt, Bernhardt's Shore Mote~, Depot Lane, Cutchogue, New York, for a special exception inaccordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article III, Section 300, Subsection 11, for permission to erect and maintain directional sign on the property of John C. Tuthill, southeast corner Elijah Lane and Route 27A, Mattituck, New York. Vote of the Boardz Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Rosenberg. Bernhardt, Bernhardt's Shore Motel, Depot Lane, Cutchogue, New York, for a Southold Town Board of Appeals -4- May 2, 1961 special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article III, Section 300, Subsection 11, for permission to erect and maintain directional sign on the property of J. H~ry Wolf, south side Route 25, opposite Depot Lane, Cutchogue, New York. Vote of the Board~ Ayes=- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Rosenberg. (E.D.S.T.), Thursday, May 11, 1961, Town Clerk Office, Main Road, Southold, New York, as timeand place for hearing upon application of Walter Grabie, Main Road, Mattituck, New York, for a special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article IV, Section 408, for permission to locate sign with reduce d setback. Location of property,. (property of Sllkworth) Walter Grabie Appliance Store, south ~ide Main Road, Mattituck, New York. Vote of the Board~ Ayes~- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Rosenberg. It was further RESOLVED that legal notice of hearing be ~ublished in the Suffolk Times, the official newspaper, on Friday, May 5, 1961.
