District-1000 Section-15. Block-3, Lot-15 e;tr.n Building Permit Number—49517 Framing Evaluation On December 15, 2023, I inspected the construction at the noted location. The inspection covered the new headers installed at the rear of the house. The headers are located at the rear exterior wall (2-12" LVL) and the interior wall between the All Season Room and the Living Room (2-14" LVL). The purpose of the inspection was to confirm that the new LVL Headers are proper for the framing conditions required for the alteration to the existing house structure. The new headers were installed because the existing framing was discovered to be deteriorated during the construction. The areas inspected included the two new headers. The inspection results are: Items inspected included lumber type/grade, lumber size, dimensional spacing, framing connections,header sizes, bearing, continuity strapping and integration with the existing framing. Result—Based upon inspection of this project and to the best of my knowledge, belief and professional judgment, construction as installed complies with the plans and applicable codes of the IRC,NYS and Southold Town Building Codes. The plans provided for building permit do not indicate the extent of work which is taking place at the residence, nor does it indicate any structural call outs. The house is gutted to bear framing in all areas,with some areas being rebuilt and structural alterations made. On my inspection report I noted that the architect/engineer will need to certify the structure and the framing inspection, as well as strapping. With the weather changing, it is acceptable for the builder to continue closing up the exterior with new surface materials, but pleased be advised that no further work on the interior may take place until we have an updated set of drawings and the certification letter from Nick Mazzaferro of the structure.
