Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Conunissioners of the
Mattituck Park District held on February 19,2004 at the Maftituck Fire House in a
classroom on the second floor, Pike Street, Mattituck, New York, with Conunissioner

Chairman Zuhoski called the meefin.~ to order at 7:10 p.m.
On l11otion of Gerard Goebringer, seconded by Jeromt; Zuhoski and carried, the

Jerome Zl140ski r<'ported that John Cushman was going away and Jerome gave
John pernrissiol1 to pay the bills and to present his report at tht; 1yfarch meeting.
On motion of Gerard Goebringer, seconded by Jerome Zuhoski and carried,. the
survey ati,d plans.. for ac3-= garageto be built at the-Aldrich Lane site were agreed upon.
Warren Sandback, Architect,. wiU submit the plans and survey to the Southald Town
Building Departm~t. Gail Wickham will be involved if the Town wants an architectural
reVIew.
On motion of Jerome Zuhoski, seconded by Gerard Got;hringer and carried six (6)
Nextd phones (2-way radios) .are to be purchased.
" Gerard Goebringer reported that he called Bob Grigonis to ask when he was going
I to start the construction at Veterans Park site. He will start as soon as the weather breaks.
I Chairman Zuhoski volunteered to find. out when the Mattituck Fire Departmt;nt
was planning to have their annual picnic at the Veterans Park site.
Gerard Goehringer spoke with Kevin Romanowski about re-coustruction of the
bachhi court adjacent to the driveway at Veterans Park. Kevin said he would go down
and look at what had to be done-and give us a price in the Spring. The Conunissioners
also want to discuss with him the extension of the parking lot to the rear of tht; building
to accomodate eight cars. The Commissioners want to keep the two parking lots
separated.
Tom McCaffery said he got a quote of $2.30 per sq. ft. for re-surfa.cing the tennis
courts on Bay A venue. The courts win just be re-surfaced for this summer. The
Conunissioners have plans for improving the courts in the future with a new surfuce but
they have to look into what the noise factor will be.
Chairman Zuhoski spoke about the softball field at the Yacht Club site. He feels
that if the women have only 2 or 3 teams this year they should be asked to go to Peconic
at the Town park facilities.

The lighting facilities at the Aldrich Lane site were discussed. Tom McCa'f'rery to
geta. coupJe of prices for getting the electric in. He is to speak \\ith Mark Sabat and
others and see what the cost factor is.
