Box 1179 Southol& New York I 1971-0959 CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL TOWN OF SOUTtIOLD MINUTES Monday, March 22, 2004 Down's Farm Preserve 6:00 PM A meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council was held Monday, March 22, 2004 at Down's Farm Preserve. Present Were: Absent Were: Tom Schlichter, Member Doris McGreevy, Member Nicholas Dickerson Junior Member Peggy Dickerson, Trustee Lauren Standish, Secretary Don Wilder, Chairman William Cook, Member Melvyn Morris, Member Madeline Brisotti, Junior Member CALL TO ORDER Secretaw. Lauren Standish called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM CH~RMAN'S ANNOUNCEMENTS Chairman Don Wilder was absent. REPORTS Trustee Peggy Dickerson informed the council that the road-end committee is currently working on a priority list for the drainage projects, The next drainage project will be conducted on Duck Pond Rd. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Moved by Nicholas Dickerson seconded by Tom Schlichter, to Approve the Minutes of February 23, 2004. DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATION OF WETLAND PERMIT & COASTAL EROSION PERMIT APPLICATIONS Moved by Tom Schlichter, seconded by Doris McGreevy, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH. A CONDITION of .the Wetland Permit application of KENNETH L. STEIN to remove 107 linear ft. of deteriorated bulkhead and reconstruct in the same location with vinyl sheathing. Located: 2535 Cedar Lane, East Marion. SCTM#37-4-10 The CAC recommends Approval of the application with the Condition the current Son-turf buffer be maintained. Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried STEPHAN KLEIN to install additional rock armor in front of existing bulkhead at 2+/. tons per linear ft. and for the existing stairway. Located: 9202 Bridge Lane, CUtchogue, SCTM#73-2-3.1 The CAC did not make an inspection, therefore no recommendation was made. ANNMARINO & BERNARD TELSEYto construct a set of stairs to a new deck, and stairs to the beach. Located: 465 Old Harbor Rd., New Suffolk. SCTM#117-3-12 The CAC did not make an inspection, therefore no recommendation was made. Moved by Nicholas Dickerson, seconded by Doris McGreevy, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL of the Wetland Permit application of JOHN & MARION BRANDVOLD to demolish the existing one-story frame house, re-use and modify existing foundation, build new one and one-half story residence, and expand the existing wood frame deck. Located: 1955 Bayshore Rd., Greenport. SCTM#53-4-10 Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried Moved by Doris McGreevy, seconded by Tom Schlichter, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL of the Wetla nd Permit application of PATRICE & JOHN KEITT to construct a 24'X 26' wood trellis. Located: 280 Basin Rd., Southold. SCTM#81-1-19 Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried Moved by Tom Schlichter, seconded by Doris McGreevy, it was RESQLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL ~WITH A CONDITION of the Wetland Permit application of MADELINE & RONALD RIBAUDO to construct a set of 4'X 90' timber stairs and platforms down bluff to besated: 1920 The Strand, East Marion. SCTM#30-2-56 The CAC recommends Approval of the application with the Condition the trees are not removed from the bluff. Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried Moved by Tom Schlichter, seconded by Nicholas Dickerson, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH A CONDITION of the Wetland Permit application of COVE BEACH ESTATES, LLC to improve the existing roadway. Located: N/s of Route 25, East Marion. SCTM#22-3-9.1, 18.1, 18.7 & 18.8 The CAC recommends Approval of the application with the Condition hay bales are placed dOwn around the ponds before the project begins. Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried Moved by Nicholas Dickerson, seconded by Tom Schlichter, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH A CONDITION of the Wetland Permit application of ANCHOR LANE LLC to construct a first floor wood framed addition comprising 407 sf., 42 sf. Bilco door, 360 sf. one-story attached garage, and 296 sf. patio with trellis. Proposed wood framed second-floor comprising 1719 sf. and drywells to contain the roof run-off. Located: 1615 Anchor Lane, Southold. SCTM#79-4-6.1 The CAC recommends Approval of the application with the Condition hay bales are placed down before the project begins. Vote of C_ouncih Ayes: All Motion Carried The next meeting of the Conservation Advisory Council has been scheduled for Tues., April 13, 2004 at 5:45 PM at Down's Farm P.reserve.
