Dear Mr.Verity,
Daniel and Nancy Bishop recently purchased the property located at 650 Blossom Bend in Mattituck. They
have discovered that the 3-season enclosed porch on the east side of their 1-story frame house may have
been constructed without Town approval, so they engaged our office to help resolve the matter. Based
on our assessment of historical imagery and publicly available Town records, it seems the original deck
was constructed between 1962 and 1978, however we are unable to determine when this structure was
enclosed.
Therefore, on behalf of the owners, we request a Southold Town as-built Building Permit to legalize the
existing 3-season enclosed porch.To satisfy the requirements of this request,the following materials are
enclosed herewith:
• Southold Town Building Permit Application form;
• Owner's Endorsement form;
• $740 check made payable to the"Town of Southold";and
• Four(4)copies of the Survey prepared by Nathan Taft Corwin III L.S.dated November 17,2023.
