Mark Schwartz A1A Mernher American 131SWUtc of Architecture April 3, 2023 To: Town of Southold - Building Department Fax 631-765-9502 Please find attached an application to open a permit for an existing Solar paneling system on the roof of my barn at 3200 Soundview Avenue, Mattituck NY 11952. In trying to close out permit447527 for a barn renovation, it seems that the solar paneling which has been on the roof since 2007 was not permitted and given a CO. This was surprising to me as this work was done 16 years ago and was approved by LIPA. The vendor who installed this system in 2007, Go Solar, has since gone out of business. Per my discussion with John Jarski, I am faxing over a new application for a permit for the Solar paneling along with all existing documentation that I possess, which includes details about the system installed and a certificate of approval from Long Island Power Authority Engineer. Given the company Go Solar, is no longer in business, I'm not able to obtain a typical plan set. John indicated that I should send what documentation I have given the circumstances, and that a permit could be opened, and an inspection could be set up to close out the solar paneling permit.
