The Board issued a Grandfather Permit(2227) for the dock in 1989. A permit for the bulkhead and
a 15' wide buffer non-turf buffer was issued in 2023.
Michael Kimack on behalf of DAVID & MARY DESETTA requests a Wetland Permit to remove
existing fixed dock, ramp and float; construct a proposed new 4'x60' "L" shaped fixed dock using
Thru-Flow decking throughout with nine (9) sets (18 total) of min. 8" diameter pressure treated
pilings; off end of 60' long dock, install a 3'x10' aluminum ramp; a 6'x20' floating dock situated in an
"I" configuration using marine grade decking and two (2) 10" diameter anchor pilings; proposed
dock to be installed in the same location at the bulkhead as existing and extend no further than the
existing floating dock; remove one (1) 24" diameter oak tree 15' from the north west corner of the
dwelling and one (1) 30" diameter oak tree 8' from wood deck. Located: 1775 Gull Pond Lane,
Greenport. SCTM# 1000-35-4-14
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department and the records available to me, I recommend that the proposal is
CONSISTENT with LWRP Policies and with the LWRP.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.

Planning Board
1. All applicants for permits* including Town of Southold agencies, shall complete this CCAF for
proposed actions that are subject to the Town of Southold Waterfront Consistency Review Law. This
assessment is intended to supplement other information used by a Town of Southold agency in
making a determination of consistency. *Except minor exempt actions including Building Permits
and other ministerial permits not located within the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area.
2. Before answering the questions in Section C, the preparer of this form should review the exempt
-minor action list, policies and explanations of each policy contained in the Town of Southold Local
Waterfront Revitalization Program. A.. proposed _action will be evaluated as to its siunificant
beneficial and adverse effects upon the coastal area(which includes all of Southold Town)
3. If any question in Section C on this form is answered "yes" or "no", then the proposed action will
affect the achievement of the LWRP policy standards and conditions contained in the consistency
review law. Thus, each answer must be explained in details listing both supporting and_non-
supporting facts. If an action cannot be certified as consistent with the LWRP policy standards and
conditions,it shall not be undertaken.

website (southoldtown.northfork.net), the Board of Trustees Office, the Planning partment, all

Desetta Project Description
Remove existing fixed wood walkway, wood ramp and floating dock.
Install new fixed L shaped walkway at 4 ft. x 60 ft. in length ( 240 SF ) with thru
flow decking throughout with 9 sets ( 18 total ) of min. 8" diam. pressure treated
pilings. Install a 3 ft. x 10 ft. aluminum ramp ( 30 SF w/ 18 SF over water ). Install
a 6 ft. x 20 ft. floating dock with marine grade decking and two ( 2 ) 10 " diam.
anchor pilings.
The new walkway will be installed at the same location at the bulkhead as the
existing walkway and extend no further seaward than the existing floating dock.
Remove one ( 1 ) 24 " diam. oak tree 15 ft. from the north west corner of the
dwelling and one ( 1 ) 30 " diam. oak tree 8 ft. from the wood deck.
