Schools can reach out to Response Crisis and bring the program into the classroom (they suggest a health class or small classroom setting- not an assembly) as they gauge the emotions of youth during presentations and cannot do that properly in large groups. Contact Response Crisis at 631 751 7620. Prom Dress Drive & Showcase April 12th& 13th 6-8pm & 14th 1-4pm Planning is going great. Military Ball attendees have had private shopping appointments. Students have been doing community service to prepare dress collection. Flyers distributed for sharing. Email trace mgsoutholdtownny.gov for hard copy. Communications with East End Youth Librarians has been great; Southold Free Library, Mattituck-Laurel Library Cutchogue New Suffolk Free Library and Floyd Memorial Library, all sharing flyers and dress collection locations. Southold library has donated 8 gently used and new dresses. Cutchogue Library has dresses for pick up in April. North Fork Parish Outreach has donated 9 gently used dresses. Movie Suggestions thus far: Jungle Cruise. Babe.Paddington. Barbie. Wonka. Decided to removed Barbie from the list of contenders, more to come.New popcorn machine arrived. Upcoming Osprey baseball season,new Osprey General Manager, looking forward to baseball season and programs. Athletic Equipment Drive—need for more equipment,possible May date. More information to follow and flyers. Supervisor Al Krupski attended meeting and discussed the possibility of video series for channel 22 to create awareness of all Department duties and highlights- more information to come. Discussed the dangers of Vaping/Awareness and Fall presentation by Andrea Nydegger, importance of application assistance and scholarship assistance for our youth, creating more awareness of the Town,jobs, departments,roles and duties.
