24-009 Amend resolution 23-0037:Authorize Chairman Bergen to hire Fred Kaelin as Clerk for
the park district for the 2024 year at a rate of$8,720 through Dec. 31, 2024. DB motion to
amend resolution, CV 2nd 3-0 ACCEPTED
24-010 Amend resolution 23-0038: Authorize Chairman Bergen to hire Ken reeves as
Recreation Manager for the park district for the 2024 year at a rate of$7,176 through Dec. 31, 2024

24-011 Retain the services Benja Schwartz as Web Administrator for the park district at a rate
of$100 per month through December 31, 2024.

24-012 Authorize Chairman Bergen to enter into an agreement with North Fork Landscaping to
provide landscaping services for the park district through December 31, 2024. DB motion to

24-013 Whereas, in 2020 the Board of Commissioners voted to authorize removal.

Whereas the Cutchogue New Suffolk Park District community has expressed a strong desire to
restore the entrance and driveway through Allison Park to its previous location through the park
ending in a parking area located at the southwest corner of the park, and;
Whereas, despite the vocal sentiment of a significant number of community members, the
Commissioners approved Resolution 23-0036 awarding the contract for the construction of the
new Allison Park parking area to KJB Industries in the amount of$68, 614 as per the accepted bid
dated November 2, 2023.
Whereas the Commissioners entered into an agreement with KJB Industries to perform the

$49,951.61 as per their estimate dated 2/9/24.

RE: 24-014
Allison Park—Access ramp going down to the beach. Need a ramp on the bluff going down to
the beach. In the past, the owner of the IGA offered to pay for the ramp. He may still be willing to
help finance the ramp and/or part of the playground.
D. Bergen responded that DEC permits would be required for ramp.

Who oversees the Park Commissioners? Mr. Leddy is dissatisfied with the new driveway at
Allison Park. He spoke to Mr. Goodwin.There is a large tree that blocks the view of the road exiting
the park. There is no gate at the entrance, the park is open all the time. The road goes north and

Questioned why that location was picked and states it was not thought out.

RE: 24-013
Mr. Jordan stated that he spoke to Mr. Goodwin and said Mr. Goodwin was not contacted about the
park entrance and it is in violation. Carl Vail responded that when a mistake is made we should be
able to correct the mistake.
RE: 24-014
Eugene Burger Jr. Does the Park accept private donations? Is it possible to put in longer
equipment? Is there room?
P. Kelly responded: yes, the park does accept donations and that there is room to extend length
wise. If there was going to be changes to the play structure, it would need a new resolution. The
playground could be expanded in the future.
