Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck
Park District held on September 11, 2003, at the Park District Office at 12900 Main
Road,Mattituck,NewYork,with Commissioners Walter Sabat and Jerome Zuhoski,were
present,together with John Cushman,Treasurer,Madeline Haas, Secretary, Gail
Faircloth, Gate Guard Attendant. James Cox, Sr., Crew Chief Leader. Russell Nine,
Laborer and Gail Wickham,Attorney for the Park District. Gerard Goehringer was
absent.
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m.
On motion of Walter Sabat, seconded by Jerome Zuhoski and carried,the minutes
of the August meeting were approved as presented.
On motion of Jerome Zuhoski, seconded by Walter Sabat and carried,the
Treasurer's report was approved as presented. below and the following bills were ordered
paid:

A letter of thanks was read from the Volley Ball summer league.
Gail Wickham reported that she had talked to Gerry Goehringer who reported that
Warren Sandbach hasn't brought the plans up-to-date. Warren is to get in touch with Mr.
Grigonis to update the papers.
A check of$970.00 has been received from an insurance company for the damage
that was done to the fence at Veterans Park site.
Gail Wickham said she would like to close title to the 12900 Main Road property
by the end of September.
An estimate from Anchor fencing to replace the split rail fencing along the west
side of Veterans Park site and have it extended 25 feet further down is $3;800.00. If
Anchor fencing tears the split rail fence down there will be an additional charge of
$800.00.
Jim Cox reported the high school lunch crowd was back at Vet's Park Jerry
Zuhoski told Jim to call the police.
Gail Faircloth reported that the Marlene Drive group was having a lobster dinner
with a fire on the beach and shooting fire works.
Russell Nine reported that the Town pumped out the drain at the Lodge. The
water stands there and there is a deep gulley. Commissioners said to fill it back in. Jim
to see Peter Harris,Highway Superintendent.
Ed Gato, Soccer Coach,entered the meeting in place of Bill Berkmier looking for
keys to the softball field lights so the club can practice there.
Jim Cox is to go to Kroemer Avenue and see the trailers and trucks. Stop in and
see what they have and get figures.
No further business to come before the meeting, on motion of Walter Sabat,
seconded by Jerome Zuhoski and carried,the meeting was adjourned.

NOTICE OF ELECTION
NOTICE is hereby given, as prescribed by Chapter 924 of the Laws of New
York, 1941, as amended, of a meeting of the legal voters of the Mattituck Park District to
be held on the 13th day of November,2003, at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, at the
Mattituck Park District Office, 12900 Main Road,Mattituck,NY 11952, for the
following purpose:
1. To elect a Commissioner for a term of three(3)years to succeed WALTER
SABAT,whose term expires December 31,2003.
Polls will be open from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Nominations shall be submitted in petition form subscribed by 25 qualified voters,
and filed with the Secretary of the Mattituck Park District,at the office of Wickham,
Bressler, Gordon& Geasa P.C., 13015 Main Road,Mattituck. New York, at least ten
(10)days prior to the date of such election. Petition forms may be picked up at the office
of Wickham,Bressler. Gordon&Geasa P.C. during normal business hours of 9:OOA.M
to 4:00 P.M. commencing October 23, 2003..
Every elector of the Town of Southold who shall have resided in the Mattituck
Park District for a period of thirty(30)days next preceding any election of the Mattituck
Park District shall be qualified to vote.

(5) copies of the Notice of Election of a Commissioner of
the Mattituck Park District, copy of which is annexed
hereto, in five (5) public places in Mattituck, County of
Suffolk, State of New York, as follows:

Lane, Mattituck, New York;
2 . Bulletin Board, Mattituck Fire House, Pike Street,
Mattituck,New York;
3. Bulletin Board, Mattituck High School, Main Road,
Mattituck, New York;
4 . Bulletin Board, North Fork Bank, 245 Love Lane,
Mattituck, New York;
5. Bulletin Board, Mattituck Free Library, Main Road,
