The builder has been notified to provide the following insulation values: -Areas of flat ceiling/attic = R-49 -Cathedral ceiling (Living room/Kitchen) = R-42 -Walls = R-15 Batt insulation with min. R-5 Insulated siding (1.5" EPS Rigid Foam) -Floor system = R-30 The insulated siding is a company called "Alside"and the product is"Prodigy Next Generation."The specs for this product mentions that it uses 1 '/2' EPS rigid foam in the siding which, to the best of my knowledge, gives us an R-5 insulation value. REScheck complies with a maximum U-Value of 0.32 in which the window order the contractor supplied to us shows the winnows ranging from 0.27 to 0.29. Therefore, the windows being installed comply with code. 2. The existing covered front porch is only getting refinished with materials to be selected by the builder. We changed the drawings to indicate this. 3. The courtyard space has existing stone pavers on grade in which will be repaired or replaced as required. 4. Existing floor plan of the house is exactly the same except for the removal of two walls in the living room and kitchen.
