A portion of the interior walls had been removed at each location. It was observed that there are double 2" x 4" rafter sill plates bearing on solid 4" x 4" headers at each location. There is also a 1/2" air space between the bottom of the 4" x 4" header and top of the doorframes. The headers are supported on double 2" x 4" wall studs at each side.
