WILSON, ESQ., ASSISTANT TOWN ATTORNEY~ JANUARY 4. 2002 CONTRACTS, LEASES, & AGREEMENTS TRANSMITTED HEREWITH ARE THE FOLLOWING EXECUTED CONTRACT TO BE FILED IN YOUR OFFICE: * PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH EDWARD WANKEL (MR WANKEL PICKED UP HIS ORIGINAL EXECUTED COPY FROM OUR OFFICE) THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THESE MATTERS. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH EDWARD E. WANKEL WHEREAS Mr. Wankel has thirty (30) of professional and technical experience in planning and pubtic administration including several years as the Suffolk County Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Conservation; and WHEREAS the Town of Southold is desirous ~n retaining the services of Edward E. Wankel; and WHEREAS Mr. Wankel has expressed an interest in providing Southold with his expertise as a Planner and Parks and Recreation Professional to perform the following tasks under the direction of the Land Preservation Department: ~xs o To assist in the inventory and cataloging of all property acquired for open space and park purposes · To assist in the development of land management plans and strategies Edward E. Wankel agrees to perform said services to the Town of Southold for a salary of one dollar per year ($1.001year). There shall be no fringe benefits associated with this Agreement. There shall be no health benefits offered to Mr. Wankel. Mr. Wankel wiII perform the aforementioned services on a part time basis, and will provide the Land Preservation Department with a schedule of times and dates he will be in the office. In addition, he will provide the Land Preservation DePartment with a quarterly report on work performed or as otherwise directed. The Town of Southold shall appoint Mr, Wankel for a period of two years effective December 4, 2001. For the first thirty (30) days of the commencement of the second year of this Agreement, either party may terminate the Agreement by written notice. Mr. Wankel sha] give no less than thirty (30) days written notice should he terminate this Agreement prior to its expiration.
