MINUTES Present were: Dick Ryan, Ray Blum, Reed Jarvis, Fred Lee, Ray Huntington, Melissa Spiro, Marian Sumner and Christina from Traveler Watchman. Marian Sumner reviewed the Peconic Land Trust list: Bittner - 69-1-7.1 - Tim Caufield met with the above and advisors last week. He is to follow up after Labor Day. Route 48 property (Pirrera) 113-12-15 - County revised, offer accepted. Tuthill - 17-6-6 - 5 year scenic easement executed. Wicks - 74-1-36 - Tim Caufield met with the Wicks family today. County list: Adamowicz - 74-1-40.1 - Jim Burke looked at this parcel in Peconic. Would be interested if it wasn't fallow. Castibile - 15-2-17.6 - Now under contract. Ghassemi - 31-1-1 - County met with owner re: offer - offer under consideration - set- off application submitted. Niamonitakis - 31-6-28.1 - County offer accepted. Pollio - 108-1-1.1 - County contracts sent out. Wickham - 110-1-1.1,109-7-10.2, 102-6-20.1, 103-11-22 - offer accepted. Applications: Melissa discussed Carol Sullivan-Eric Moenius application with the Committee - 122-2- 24 &121-5-4.1. She will make an appointment to discuss this in Executive Session with the Town Board. Fishers Island Trip - Melissa, Ray Blum, Ray Huntington, Reed Jarvis and Bill Edwards went to the Town Board meeting on Fishers Island. Doherty - 9-8-2 - The Land Preservation Committee members who attended the Fishers Island meeting conducted a field inspection. Mr. Doherty has not received the environmental report as yet. Melissa said there is a parcel north of the school that the Town might be interested in purchasing. It is 2+ acres. Barney Sidor - 115-2-9.1 - Ray Huntington made the contact with Barney Sidor. This is a new application. He would like to see the land stay in farming. It is an 18 acre parcel. Ray has seen him several times. We should move forward for an appraisal. At 8:40 p.m. the Committee went into Executive Session. Pipes Creek - The Milazzo subdivision is in the Planning Board office. Melissa, Jim McMahon and Jean Cochran went to look at the Pipes Creek area. The Committee will explore this area. Melissa spoke to the Committee about the list of proposed parcels for the 2001-2002 State Agricultural and Farmland proposal. This list has to be in By September 14th. Fort Corchaug Management Committee - Melissa attended the first meeting. Jim Grathwohl was in charge. The next meeting for the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, 2001.
