MONDAY, JULY 23, 2001 AT 7:30 P.M.
MINUTES
Present were: Dick Ryan, Bill Edwards, Ray Blum, Fred Lee, Melissa Spiro
and Tim Caufield.
Tim Caufield told the Committee that the Peconic Land Trust has been
working with Mr. Macari for many years. There is considerable acreage
involved. Phase I is anywhere from 160 - 180 acres. The Peconic Land
Trust is working with the County. The County has gotten appraisals on
these parcels.
Lettieri - 31-5-1.2 - Mr. Lettieri is also working with the Peconic Land
Trust. There are 4 parcels involved. He would like to gift one parcel to the
Peconic Land Trust and would sell the other three to them and they in turn
would sell it to the Town and County. The Committee reviewed the
appraisal.
Melissa spoke to the Committee about Pipes Cove. She asked if someone
would like to speak to John & Rose Milazzo about preservation. Dick will
contact them.
Cullinane - 19-1-1.2 - an appraisal update has been ordered but has not been
received as yet.
Schreiber - 95-1-4 - Melissa tried to contact Mr. Cuddy but was unable to
reach him. It was suggested that Melissa remind him that Mr. Schreiber
signed an endorsement letter. Melissa will do the negotiating.
McGunnigle - 106-6-14 - Greg Yakaboski received a letter from Mr.
Costigan re: encroachment.
5 Acre Meeting - It was non-confrontational, non-contentious. It went well.
Equity was the issue.
