MINUTES Present were: Ray Blum Bill Edwards, Ray Huntington, Marty Sider, Reed Jarvis, Fred Lee, Melissa Spire, Tom Wickham and Nancy Lucas. Corazzini.property - 52-4-4 - Tim Caufield and Melissa will meet with him. This parcel is approximately 12 acres. He is looking to do something with the property. It edges on the Manor Grove parcel. Cullinane - 19-1-1.2 - will close on May 22, 2002. Lettieri - 31-5-1.2 - the County is generating the contracts. The Town would like the beach parcels. The closing is scheduled for May BOth. Dorman - 17-2-17 - Melissa will try to talk with Jack Sherman on this. Aliano - 74-4-4.1 - there are six lots comprising 12.25 acres at a cost of $400,000. A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday May 21, 2002 at Southold at 1:35 p.m. Nancy Lucas from the Nature Conservancy spoke to the Committee on the Pipes Cove area. The survey has been done on the Stackler pieces. The total acreage on all the pieces is approximately 35 acres. Schuster is the appraiser. Melissa will work with Nancy on this and then come back to the Committee. Reese - 45-5-5 - approximately 47 acres. The Committee supported having an appraisal and survey done on this property. Sill - 45-5-4 - Nancy will schedule a meeting with Julian Sill in the near future. This piece is approximately 8.30 acres. Osprey Dominion - 86-1-3.3 - Melissa discussed this appraisal with the Committee. She will meet with Gary Taylor, the appraiser, and bring up the cell tower, the wells and the dog pound. Ray Blum will speak to the owner and ask if he would consider going to the County. Simon - 86-1-10.9 - Tim Caufield suggests doing a conservation opportunity plan on this parcel. Tom Wickham suggested tabling this until Tim is present. Schmitt - 95-3-8.1 - Randy Parsons has the contract but has not given a copy of it to Melissa. Ackermann - 101-2-4 & 108-3-7 -there are several right-of-ways on this property. Melissa will research this. West Creek Cutcho~ue parcel- 110-1-7.1 -Melissa showed the Committee a copy of the survey. It is not buildable land. Melissa spoke to the owner and suggested getting an updated survey. Schlussal property - Melissa spoke to Mrs. Schlussal. She is really not a willing seller. Adamowicz - Melissa has a meeting scheduled for next week. This is an open space purchase in partnership with the County. Melissa discussed the property across from Feather Hill on the corner of Wells Avenue and the Main Road. The Committee doesn't feel that this is suitable land for purchase by the Town. The appraisal meeting held on May 9th was very useful and Tom Wickham thanked Melissa for coordinating it. Gary Taylor, one of the appraisers was invited to the Blue Ribbon Commission meeting on Monday night. Zazecki - property update - the Tree Committee would like to plant little saplings on this parcel. The Committee didn't have any objection to this. The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. With no further business to be discussed, the meeting was adjourned at 10:25 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Joyce M.
