TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2002 AT 7:30 P.M.
MINUTES
Present were: Ray Blum, Martin Sider, Reed Jarvis, Bill Edwards, Melissa Spire
and A1 Krupski.
Culliuaue- 19-1-1.2- Reed, Ray Blum, Bill and Melissa met with Maureen
Cullinane and she seemed happy with the offer made. While there, they did a site
inspection. She was still interested in putting the barn on the Main Road. They
told her it would be much better for the barn to be put on Narrow River Road.
Melissa will tell her that the Committee would like to see the barn on Narrow
River Road and that she should figure out with the surveyor where her reserved
area is and then have Greg draw up a contract.
Letteri - 31-5-1.2 - Melissa and Tim Caufield spoke to the Town Board in
Executive Session to update them on the status.
LaColla - 56-4-19, 24 - Someone else has made an offer on this property.
Outreach - Melissa sent out letters to Schmidt, Robinson and Dorset Farms. Ray
Blum will follow through with Dorset, Marty with Robinson and Reed with
Schmidt.
Nancy Lucas of the Nature Conservancy will come to our next meeting. She has
been working on the Stackler property. She is also working on a grant which she
will discuss with the Committee.
The Peconic Land Trust have contacted the Flower Hill Corp. This property
should be addressed with Town Board.
Adamowicz - 74-1-4.1 - This is under review by the Town and County. This is
in the Laurel Lake area.
A1 Krupski joined the meeting to discuss with the Committee the letter he
received from LIPA re: windmills. He wanted to bring this issue formally to the
Committee, as to whether we would allow windmills on property that has had the
development rights sold. He would get an energy credit. These windmills are
approximately 100 ft. high. The Committee will discuss this at our next meeting,
when more members are present.
McFeely - 125-1-14 - has hired the Peconic Land Trust as agent for the 4 lot
subdivision.
Sawicki - 51-3-4.3 -this property is next to Chardonnay Estates. The Peconic
Land Trust has been working on this.
Zazecki - Fred Lee is meeting with some people from the school.
The Minutes of the February 4, 2002 meeting were accepted as read.
The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for March 12,
2002.
With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
