is in a current status and no updating is necessary. In checking with the
Accounting Department, I find that the last $1.00 check sent to you was in
Ap'ril 1997. I have instructed them to issue you a check in the amount of
$2.00 for 1998 and 1999. A copy of the lease is enclosed for your records

Dear Mrs. Neville,
Several years ago the Cutchogue Fire District leased the parking lot across from
the firehouse to the town of Southold for the token amount of $1.00 per year.
The board has not received any recent communication from the town and
therefore is wondering the status of the lease. Could you please advise us of the current
status and if any updating is needed. Thank you.

THIS AGREEMENT, made this~Y.~-~ day of February, 1994. between the
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CUTCHOCUE FIRE DISTRICT, of
Cutchogue, Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, hereinafter referred
to as "DISTRICT", and the TOWN OF SOUTHOLD. a municipal corporation of
the State of New York, having an office at 53095 Main Road. Southold, Town
of Southeld, Suffolk County, New York hereinafter referred to as "TOWNj',
subject to the following terms:
1. Leased Premises. District has agreed to lease to Town the following
premises:
ALL that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being
at Cutchogue, in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County,
State of New York. bounded northerly by the North Fork
Bank and Trust Company; easterly by land of the
Cutchogue Fire District; southerly by land of Elizabeth Ann
Vernon; and westerly by New Suffolk Road, containing by
estimation one-half acre. more or less.
With the privileges and appurtenance for and during the term of one (1) year
from the 25th day of January, 199~, which term will end .January 24, 1995.
2. Rent. Town covenants that it wil pay District for the use of said
premises, the annual rent of ONE and no/;100 ............. Dollars ($1.00), to
be paid as follows: The sum of $1.00 to be paid upon the execution of this
lease and the further sum of $i.00 of the iSth day of April in each and every
year during the term of this lease.
$. Automatic Extension. This lease shall be automatically extended for
successive one year terms, upon the same terms and conditions as herein
provided, unless either party hereto gives written notice to the other party
not less than si~:ty (60) days prior to the expiration of the then existing
term that the term of this lease shall not be so extended.

that he resides at Main Road, Cutchogue, New York, that he is the
Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners of the Cutchogue Fire District;

Wickham to me known, who being by me duly sworn, did depose and say that
he resides at Main Road, Cutchogue, New York; that he is the Supervisor of
the Town of Southold, the municipal corporation described in and which
executed the foregoing instrument; that he knows the seal of said Town; that
the seal was so affixed by order of the Town Board of the Town of Southold
and that he sign~ his name thereto by like order.
lt. Breach. If Town shall fail to pay said rent. or any part thereof
when it becomes due. it is agreed that District may sue for the same. or
re-enter said premise, or resort to any legal remedy.
5. Taxes. District agrees to pay all taxes to be assessed on said
premises during said term.
6. Insurance. Town covenants and agrees that it will include the
demised premises under its blanket liability insurance policy and will name

7. Surrender of Premises. At the expiration of said term Town shall
surrender said premises to District in as good a condition as now, necessary
wear and damage by the elements excepted.
