This Letter is to advise you that National Grid investigated your request and confirmed that the
subject property does not have an active gas service line.
New York State law requires anyone planning underground excavation work to notify local
utilities by making one call to a toll-free number to get your underground lines identified
for you prior to doing any digging. This phone call needs to be made at least 2,days but
not more than 10 days prior to starting work,not including the date of the call. The
number to call is either the nationally sponsored"811",or the local number for NYC/LI
area,1-800-272-4480.This confirmation letter of no active gas service line to the subject
property does not relieve the excavator of making this"811"call.

This is to advise you that the PSEG-LI electric facilities at the above referenced location have
been disconnected and removed off the building structure that is located on the property.
Please note that there may still be PSEG LI facilities located within the property boundaries
and that NYS law(NYCRR Part 753)requires all contractors to call for a utility locate(NY
811)prior to performing any ground excavation or regrade activity. The call to the 811 Call
Center must be done at least 2 business days prior to the start of the work and confirmation of
utility marks having been identified must be received from all the facility owners prior to any
site work.
You must also contact National Grid at 631-348-6150 to procure a letter of demolition
associated with natural gas service, whether or not your home or business uses natural gas.

Project Description: For the demolition of the existing dwelling and to abandon the
existing sanitary system.
Findings: The project meets all the requirements for issuance of an Administrative
Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code. The issuance of an
Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated on the survey prepared by
Steven F. Barylski, Licensed Land Surveyor, received on August 15, 2023, and stamped '
approved on September 13, 2023.
Special Conditions: None
Inspections: Final Inspection.
If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an Administrative
Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, a Wetland Permit will be
required.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Dear Joseph Sbarra,
Based on the information you submitted, the Department of Environmental
Conservation has determined that the portion of the property landward of the
topographic crest of a bluff in excess of 10 feet in elevation as shown on the survey
prepared by Steven F. Barylski, dated October 19, 2019, is beyond Tidal Wetlands Act
(Article 25) jurisdiction. Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal Wetlands Land
Use Regulations (6 NYCRR Part 661), no Tidal Wetlands permit is required to conduct
regulated activities landward of the 30-foot elevation contour (topographic crest).
In addition, DEC has determined that the demolition of the slab and portion of the
existing residence within Tidal Wetlands Act jurisdiction is greater than 75 feet from the
tidal wetlands boundary and is listed in the Tidal Wetlands Land Use Regulations (6
NYCRR Part 661.5) as an activity that is not regulated. Therefore, no permit is required
under the Tidal Wetlands Act.
Be advised, any additional work or modification to the project as described, may require
DEC authorization. It is your responsibility to ensure that all precautions are taken to
prevent any sedimentation or disturbance within Article 25 jurisdiction which may result
from your project. Such precautions may include maintaining adequate work area
between the jurisdictional boundary and your project (i.e. a 15' wide construction area)
or erecting a temporary fence, barrier, or hay bale berm.
Please be advised that DEC has documented the summer occurrence of the Northern
Long Eared Bat (NLEB) (Myotis septentrionalis), a species listed as endangered by both
New York State and the US Fish & Wildlife Service, within three miles of the project
location. We have determined that tree cutting at this location between March 1 and
November 30 of any calendar-year may result in the "take" of this
endangered/threatened species or its habitat within the meaning of Environmental
Conservation Law (ECL) §11-535. The term "take" is defined in part as the direct killing
or injury of individual members of a protected species, interference with critical
breeding, foraging, migratory or other essential behaviors, or the adverse modification
of the species' habitat. The "take" of a species listed as endangered or threatened is
prohibited in the absence of a permit from this Department issued pursuant to ECL §11-
535. In order to avoid the Endangered Species "take" situation, we recommend
that all tree cutting activities at the project site be conducted only between the
dates of December 1 and February 28 of each calendar year.
If you have questions about the presence of protected species on or near your property,
the potential effects of activities on these species, or your responsibilities as a
landowner or project sponsor under the Endangered Species Regulations, please
contact the Regional Wildlife Manager at (631) 444-0306.
This letter shall remain valid unless site conditions change.
Please note that this letter does not relieve you of the responsibility of obtaining any
necessary permits or approvals from other agencies or local municipalities.
