Kim Fuentes, Coordinator and Julie McGivney,Assistant Town Attorney Panelist, Brian Mealy, Town Councilman (Zoom) Executive Session —3:00 PM 3:03 P.M. Motion was offered by Chairperson Ostroski, seconded by Commissioner Woodhouse to enter into Executive Session in order to receive Attorney Advice. Vote of the Commission: Ayes: Commissioners Ostroski, Wexler, Santana, Woodhouse and de Conciliis. (This Resolution was duly adopted (5-0). 3:15 P.M. Motion was offered by Chairperson Ostroski, seconded by Commissioner de Conciliis to exit Executive Session. Vote of the Commission: Ayes: Commissioners Ostroski, Wexler, Santana, Woodhouse and de Conciliis. This Resolution was duly adopted (5-0). Work Session: 3:30 P.M. The Commission discussed Code Change:An Agenda of items will be completed. Possible meeting with the Town Board and Department Heads. Pre submission Conferences: (30 Minutes allotted to each presentation) 3:36 P.M. -William Kinq (David Snowdon) —for a Certificate of Appropriateness under Section 170- 7(b) of the Southold Town Code at a registered landmark property to construct alterations and additions to an existing single family dwelling, including the installation of roof mounted solar panels; located at 225 Bay Lane, Orient, SCTM No. 1000-24-2-26.5. • The applicant's representative, David Snowdon, designer, appeared before the Commission to describe the proposed improvements as depicted in architectural drawings dated June 9, 2023, received on November 9, 2023. A second floor extension over the existing porch is proposed with solar panels mounted on the roof. • The Commission asked that the Mr. Snowdon indicate accurate revision dates, and compass directions on the plans. • The plans include, roof red cedar dipped shingles, siding shingle "Nantucket A bleach stained light grey, and Anderson A Series Windows (Fibrex) • The Commission asked for changes/information: revise size of one window, add door schedule and specs. • The applicant will revise plans and return to the Commission on December 14, 2023. AYES: Commissioner Ostroski, Wexler, Santana, Woodhouse and de Conciliis. (5-0). Motion approved. 4:04 P.M. Chairperson Ostroski made a Motion to Open the Meeting to Public Hearings, seconded by Commissioner de Conciliis. AYES: Commissioner Ostroski, Wexler, Santana, Woodhouse and de Conciliis. (5-0). Motion approved. PUBLIC HEARINGS: (1) 4:04 PM - Kathleen McDowell — Lona Island Power Solutions Solar for a Certificate of Appropriateness under Section 170-7(b) of the Southold Town Code at a registered landmark property to install roof mounted solar panels on an existing two-family dwelling and an accessory garage; located at 51540 NYS Route • Michaela Wolf, Representative, appeared on behalf of the applicant to describe the solar panels plan, last revised October 29, 2023, received November 9, 2023. • The engineered drawings show solar panels reconfigured upon the dwelling roof and accessory garage. • The Commission was satisfied with changes made to the revised plans. A motion was made to Close the Public Hearing by Commissioner Ostroski, seconded by Commissioner Woodhouse. AYES: Commissioners Ostroski, Wexler, Santana, de Conciliis, and Woodhouse. (5-0). Motion approved. A motion was made to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness to install roof mounted solar panels on an existing two-family dwelling and an accessory garage; by Commissioner de Conciliis, seconded by Commissioner Ostroski. AYES: Commissioners Ostroski, Wexler, Santana, de Conciliis, and Woodhouse. (5-0). Motion approved. Old Business: 4:16 P.M.) 1. Landmark Incentive—The Commission discussed funding a road sign to be posted on Route 25 promoting the Historic Preservation Commission and its role to the community 2. Potential Awards or Request Historical Status, include individuals, non-profit organizations, etc. Discussion of individuals in the community. 3. HPC Handbook. Revision is currently in process. 4. Shiloh Baptist Church—No activity. New Business: None Meeting Adjourned: 4:34 P.M. Motion to exit the public meeting was made by Commissioner Ostroski, seconded by Commissioner Woodhouse. AYES: Ostroski, Wexler, Santana, Woodhouse and de Conciliis. Motion approved.
