The meeting w~s called to order at 1:30 P.E. with'the fOllow- ing present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthillm, and Albertson; Town Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims against the Town concluding the Audit work at 2 P.M. Moved by Justice Albertson; secmnded by Justice Terry: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be and hereby are duly approved as read. Vote of ~Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill and Albe~tson. Moved by Justice Albertson; secohded by Justice Terry: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, November 2~, 19~3, at 1:30 P.M. Vote of' Town Board. Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill and Albertwon. Mr. O'Keefe as President of the Wunnewetta Pond Association applied to the Town Board for some financial assistance in dredging the Inlet to Wunnewetta Pond. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That Norman E. Klipp, Supervisor~ be and he here- by is authorized to contribute the sum of Three Hundred and Twenty-five Dollars ($325.00) twards the cost of dredging the Inlet to Wunnewetta Pond.at Nassau Point, Town of Southold, N. Y. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill and Albertson. Moved by. Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the Police Report ~or the month of October be accepted by the Town Board and p~aced on file. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, TUthill and Albertson. Moved by Justice T~rry; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That General Bills in the Amount of $1,$81.O0, Lighting Bills in the amount of $1,~02.13~ Tow~ Trustee Account in the amount of $109.79, Fishers Island Ferry Bistrict Bills in the amount of $18,677.35~ be and the same are hereby ordered'paid. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry~ Tuthill and Albertson. The Board canvassed the ballet cast for the Library approp- riation in the General Election of November 3, 1953. The vote was as~follows: Yes-620 -- No- 226. The Dp~po~i~ion ~iapp~opriate the sum of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($12,%00.00). fo~ the support of thePublic Libraries of Southeld Town for the fiscal years ~95~-1955 was duly declared passed. Mrs.. An~e Montgomery appeared before the Town Board and complained that she had heard that it was called to the attention of Agt. Howard that liquor had been illegally sold to a man by the name of DeJesus at Leu Jones' and Vivian Hodges, and no action had been taken. She inquired as to what the Town Board intended to do about the matter. Supervisor Klipp advised M~s. Montgomery that both of the alleged Places wb~erlocated in the Village of Greenport and she should make her complaint to the officials of that area. The Supervisor f~mther advised that Mrs. Montgomery should confine her remarks on matters relative to the Town of Southold only, and not the Incorporated Village of Greenport. Mrs. Montgomery then inquired as to what the Town was do- ing relative to Brownie~am's Place, a~d Chief Anti§ advised that~he ~nd Sgt. Resling had periodically checked ~his pla~e and found they had a license to operate a restaurant, a~d had never fomnd any evidence of liquor being sold illegally. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Terry: STATE OF NEW YORK : : SS COUNTY OF SUFFOLK : I, Ralph P. Booth, Town Clerk of the Town of Southold, DO HEREBY CERTIFY THAT~I have compared the fore- going with the annual budget of the Town of Southold, duly adopted by the Town Board of said Town on the 5th day of November, 19~3, and entered in detail in the minutes of the proceedings of said Board. and that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of said annual budget and the whole thereof. Booth, Town Clerk RESOLUTION OF TOWN BOARD ADOPTING ANNUAL BUDGET WITHOUT AMENDMENT k~EREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Southeld has met at the time and place specified in the notice of public hear- ing on the preliminary budget and heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED: That the Town Beard of the Town of ~outhol~ does hereby adopt such preliminary budget as originally compiled, as theannual budget of this Town for the fiscal year be- ginning on the 1st day of January, 195~ and that such budget as so adopted be entered in detail in the minutes Of the pro6eedings of this Town Board, and be it further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold shall prepare and certify, in duplicate, copies of said annual budget as adopted by the Town Bes~d of the Town of Southold, together with the estimates, if any, adopted pursuant to Section 202-a, Subd. 2, of the Town Law'and deliver one copy thereof to the Supervisor of this Town to be present- ed by him to the Board of Supervisors of the CoUnty of Suffolk.
