l~ETING OF AUGUST 18~ i9~3.
The Annual Fishers Islsnd Meeting of the Southold Town
Board was held. on Tuesday~ August 18~ 19~3. The meeting
was called to order at 2 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry~ Tuthill~ Al~ertson~ Clark
and Edwards~ Town Superintendent of Highways Price~ Tow~
A~torney Terry and To~m Clerk Booth. Also State~ County
and Town Officials and Guests and a group of Fishers Isl~.
residents.
Moved by Justice Edwards; seconded by Justice Clark:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be
dispensed with.
Vote of Town Board: ~yes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry~
Tuthill~ Albertson~ Clark and Edwards.
Moved by Justice Albertson~ seconded by Jmstice Terry:
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly Audit Meeting of ~his
Board be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp
~t Greenport~ on Tuesday~ September 87 19~3~ at 1:30 P~M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor ~lipp; Justices Terry~
Tuthill~ Albertson~ Clark & Edwards.
Supervisor Klipp opened the meeting with brief remarks and
inquired if there were any problems the Fishers island
people would like to discuss.
Mrs. Pendleton and Mr. Lee Ferguson brought up ~he subject
of Connecticut residents coming into New York State waters
and taking fish by use of spears and felt that some action
should be taken to prohibit it~ Assemblyman Lupton and
Senator Horton stated that if they would write them in
regard to this matter they would take it up with the Con-
servation Department at Albany~ N.Y~
Fir. Henry L. Ferguson expressed his appreciation for the
excellent work that Harold Price~ Superintendent of
Highways has done on the highways at Fishers Island and
stated they were never in a better condition.
Brief remarks were made by Senator Horton and Assemblyman
Luptono
Adjournment was at 3 P.M.
