The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman
E. Klipp at Greenport, on Zuesday, December 9~ 1952. The meet-
ing was called to order at~l:~30 P.M. with the following present~
Supervisor Klipp; Sustices Tuthill~ Albertson and Clar~ Town
Superintendent of H&ghways Price; Town Attorney Terry and
Town Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine
claims against the Town concluding the Audit work at 2:00 P.~.
Moved by Justice ~lbertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be and
hereby are~'~uly approved as read.

Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by ~ustice ~uthill:
RESOLVED: That the annual Audit Meeting of ~hi~ Board be held
at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport~on
Tuesday, December ~0, 19~2~ at I:30 P.M.
Vote of Town Board. Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~
Albertson and Clark.
Moved by.~ustice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED. That Bond No. 05-~21-066~ issued by the American Surety
Company in the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) on
behalf of Ralph P. Booth~ be and the same is hereby approved
as to its form~ sum~ manner of execution and sufficiency of
surety therein.

RESOLVED.~That Bomd No. 2~229~ issue~ by The Fidelity and
Casualty Company of New York~ in the sum of One Thousand
Dollars ($1000.00)~ on behalf of Harry H. ~erry, be and the
same is hereby approved as to its form~ sum~ manner of executiom
and sufficiency ~f surety therein.

Moved by Sup't. of Highways PriceS seconded by Justice Clark:
~EREAS~ the Governor and Legislature o~ the State of NeW York
have created a Temporary Highway Finance flashing Commission
to provide for the development of a modern highway system, and
~HEREAS~ we believe that the developement of such a modern
highway system is of vital imPortance to all of the people
of our state~
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL~D: That we~ the members of the
Southold Town Board do herewith express to the said Commission
our support of their effort to provide Such a modern highway
System~ and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That we do also express our desire
that the Governor and LeEislature commence a proEram which
will bring such modern highway sustem into being as soon as
possible.

WHEREAS~ pursuant to law, bids have been solicited for the
collection and disposal of garbage and refuse for Fishers
Island Garbage ~nd Refuse District for £he term of three
years from January l~ 19~ to December ~l, 19~, and
~EREAS~ N~ B. King and Co.~ Inc. of New London, Connecticut
on November 2~, 19~2 did submit the lowest bid and in due
conformance with the specifications and notice ~ders and
accompanied with a proposal ~ond in due form, now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED~ that the said N. B. King and Co.~ ~NC. of New London~
Connecticut~ be awarded the contract for the collection and
disposal of garbage and refuse for Fishers ~sland Garbage and
Refuse District for the termoof Three years from January l~ 19~3
~o December 31~ 19~ at the agreed price of $12}800. per annum~
and be it fu~.~ ther

Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
WHEREAS~ John P. Pickett of Fishers Island~ New York~ has agreed
to lease to the Town of Southold approximately fourteen (l~)
acres of land known as Wilderness Point~ Fishers Island~ New York~
for the disposal of garbage and refuse 6y the Fishers island
Garbage and Refuse District for the term of one year beginning
January l, 1953~ at the annual rent of Eight Hundred and Forty
Dollars ($840.O0).
NOW THEREFOREBE ~T RESOLVED: That this Board enter into such a
lease for said term and at above price.

RESOL.VED: That General Bills in the sum of $3~676.24,
Lightmng District Bills in the sum of $ 1~372.~g~ Fishers Island
Ferry District Bills in the sum of $7~427.0~ be and th~ same
are hereby ordered paid.

RESOLVED: That the Police Report for the month of November
be accepted by the Town Board and pla~d on file.
