A final inspection has been made. All that is required is that you fill out the enclosed application for the Certificate of Occupancy, submit it along with your check in the amount of $25. 00, and the underwriters certificate for the electrical work that was done so that the CO may be issued. According to the Code of the Town of Southold, Article XXVIII 100-281 and 100-284 a building permit is needed for any construction of additions, accessory structures or new dwellings, and it is unlawful to occupy or use said structure until a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued.
