Gentlemen:
Last week I appeared with several of the Wendy Drive
property owners before the Finance Committee of the
Suffolk County Legislature. The Committee was very aware
of the problem and voted to defeat the resolution authorizing
the sale pursuant to the bid at public auction. They will
recommend that the matter be sent back to the Assessor for
redistribution of the taxes to the owners in proportion to
their frontage on the road, and that the owners then be
allowed to redeem and obtain a tax deed to the property.
We very much appreciate your assistance in this matter
and the letters written by Supervisor Pell advising the
Legislators of your resolution.

Young, Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor, Riverhead, New York,
dated February 14, 1985.
TOGA-THER with the appurtenances and all the estates and rights of
the grantors in and to the pr6~ises. It being the intention of the
grantors to convey all land for highway purposes and all the estate
therein that they ~ay own.
Th~ lands hereby dedicated, released and conveyed are specifically
described ou Schedule A which is hereto a~nexed aud made a par~
hereof.
TO HAVE AND TO HCID the above granted pr~nises unto the Town of
Southold and its successors forever as fully as if the same had been
acquired in fee in trust ~or street purposes by condemnation
proceedings.

All that certain piece or parcel of land, with the buildings and
improvements thereon erected, situate, lying and bein.g at Laurel, Town
of Southold, County of Suffolk and State'-.of New York, known and
designated as "Wendy Drive", and bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the northerly side of Peconic Bay
Boulevard at the extreme westerly end of an arc of cur~/e connecting the
westerly side of Wendy Drive with the northerly slde~ of Peconic Bay
Boulevard; running thence along land now or formerly of Ellen M.
Braunstein, along an arc of curve bearing to:the lefti'whose radius is
34.86 feet, a distance of 42.38 feet; thence still along land now or
formerly of Ellen M. Braunstein and along land now or formerly of Bruce
Rechard and Kathleen A. Deyoung North 20 degrees 19 minutes 00
