APPLICATION FOR BUILDING PERMIT
INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector, with 3
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
cation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work,
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws, Ordinances or
Regulations, for the construction of buildings, additions or alterations, or for removal or demolition, as herein described.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
The Contractor for work under this Section is to furnish and
install all equipment and related accessories as required for
the comp{etlon of a fwo piped forced hot water system, in
accordance with Architectural Conditions.
SCOPE OF WORK
Work in general shall include but not be limited to the
following:
A. Beating systeln, including room heating units, pumps,
tanks, valves, piping, controls, insulation, rigging, and
installation of vibration eliminators, boiler, other
i terns.
B. Breeching ar~ vertical flue for boiler and domestic water
heater,
C, Furnishing and delivery of motor starters, thermostats,
and other items for installation under other section of
the Specification.
D. Start~up~ testing, and balancing.
E. Information on concrete pads, furnishing of templates and
inserts.
F. Furnishing of wiring diagrams.
G. Prime painting of equipment.
H. Automatic temperature controls.
1. Work shall conform to the requirements of applicable
governmental regulations and 'shall bear U.L., ASME
Approval Certificates.
3. Approvals and obtaining of operating certificates.
K. Testing and balancing of system.

SUBMITTALS
A. Design Drawings and calculations
Contractor shall obtain from the Architect a set of
reproducible Architectural floor plans, and a set of
black and white prints of all elevations indicating glass
and wall areas. Obtain deatils of wall and roof cross
sections and type of glazzlng to be installed.
Contractor shall use the reproducible sepias to design
and draw the location of equipment, plping~ valves~ roonm
heating units and other related equipment.
Contractor to bring to the Architect's attention
were conflicts, or exposed piping or equipment is
anticipated in finished areas.
Contractor shall prepare a complete set of heating load
calculation in accordance with proceedure deiiniated in
the latest issue of the A.S.R.A.E. Guide, utilizing the
appropriate wall, roof, and glass conductivity factors
(based information obtatined from Architect) temperatures
to be utilized shall be as follows:
Indoor temperature 72 deg. F.
Outdoor temperature 0 deg. F.
Infiltration .06 cfm/linear crack.
d. Expansion joints.
e. Valves, vents, hangers, etc.
Submit finished design drawings and calculations to the
Architect for review,
Shop Drawings:
Upon review of the design drawings b9 the Architect, the
following shall be submitted.
1. Prior to assembling or installing the work, the
following shall be submitted for approval:
a. 1/#" scale drawings indicating insert and
sleeve locations.
1/4" ~:~ate drawings indicating all piping with
anchor~and guide details.
ILO" scale drawings indicating all concrete pad
location and sizes,
f. Insulation.
g. Escutcheons.
h. i/2" scale pipe hanging details including in-
serts or connection to building structure.
i. Pumps.
j. All automatic control wiring diagrams, com-
plete with model number of each component and
verbal description of operation.

inspection and release for insulation application.
B. Insulation shall be continuous through wall and ceiling
openings and sleeves.
C. Piping be insulated as follows:

a maximum "K" factor of 0.24 at 75 degrees m~an tem-
