I found the canopy construction acceptable except for the following items: 1. The angle of the top braces must be increased to that as shown on the Drawings. 2. Firestopping material must be more securely braced by means of steel studs or other method to make it rigid in place. 3. Cement board and exterior gypsum board sheathing must be more adequately secured to supporting members with additional screws. I have no objection to the substitution of Y2" cement board and exterior gypsum sheathing in lieu of the 5/8° material shown on the Drawings. I revisited the site on September 13, 2000 for the purpose of reinspecting-- — the work to be done listed above. These items have been corrected and are satisfactory. Strang and seconded by Sanford Hanauer it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the MINUTES of the meeting of June 26, 2000, KING KULLEN SHOPPING CENTER (Main Road - Cutchogue) Moved by Garrett Strang and seconded by Sanford Hanauer, it was RESOLVED to recommend APPROVAL with the CONDITIONS that the lower line of the facade on the easterly end be lowered to match the westerly run, tgpt the column bases be narrowed as possible, that the columns flanking the entrance to the market be offset so as to widen the entrance space and that the signage of new tenants be matched in color and style to those in place.
