Patch the pockets with mortar or concrete and provide 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 wood laid horizontally to support beam. Install in a neat and professional manner. 2. Replace the hanger that connects beams B2-14 and B2-6 with one that is 5000 lbs. Submit a catalog cut for the newly installed hanger or provide the make and model number. 3. Sister every other 2 x 6 at the locations where 2 x 10's were shown and 2 x 6's are installed. Although these joist are not holding any loads from above I do not want to risk the ceiling sagging. 4. Sistcr a 2 x 4 where toilet waste line goes through a joist. 5. Roof rafters—provide collar ties every other rafter. 6. If beam B3-3 is not installed then it must be retrofitted above the joists with metal straps. �. A second wall needs to be installed at the second floor bathroom per the plan. Verify that the wall and fixtures will properly prior to installation. If it will not fit properly notify the architect. See the email below! This is the architect that would like to request an on site routine variance for egress window in the bedrooms. I requested that they be swapped out for the minimum size as required. They seem to prefer to apply for a variance. Let me know what you think. I meassured the openings to be 26 3/4 wide x 20 3/4 high including an allowance for the sill. This gives me a total square footage of 3.85 of clear opening. In order to meet code the window opening would have to have an additional 3/4" of height. This is very close. In addition each bedroom has a minimum of two such openings, in some cases five. In total there is 7.7 square feet minimum of openings usable for egress in each bedroom when two windows are considered. Although I would not specifiy this size window again I am asking that it be accepted due to the fact that they are so close to meeting code, are already installed, and there are multiple openings.
