The existing foundation consisted of large stones on grade, loosely laid without mortar. Upon further investigation, this foundation was considered unacceptable and a decision was made to replace the existing foundation. The revised plan indicates removing the existing stone foundation and providing a new poured concrete footing and either a concrete block or poured concrete foundation wall.
