Minutes of October 30, 2023 meeting
• Meeting was called to order at 4:00 pm by Jack Slattery
• Present were: Michael Regan, William Ryan, Jim Abbott, Jack Slattery
• Excused absent were: Chris North, Tom MacLeod
• Also attending: Chief Flatley
• Minutes of September 25, 2023 meeting were approved
• Old Business
o Chief Flatley indicated that funding had been approved for the design
phase of the combined court and police building
• New Business
o Chief Flatley reviewed a recent prisoner holding cell issue
o Chief Flatley provided a briefing on the current Fisher's Island NY State
Police coverage and their intent to abandon their long standing posting to
the island. The discussion offered both long- and short-term potential
solutions to the stated issues.
