SupeFvisor Cochran opened the meeting at 1:15 P.M. Present: Supervisor Jean W. Cochran Councilwoman Alice J. Hussie Councilman Joseph L. Townsend, Jr. Councilwoman Ruth D. Oliva Justice Louisa P. Evans Councilman William D. Moore Town Clerk Judith T. Terry Town Attorney Laury L. Dowd SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: The first item today is a resolution to set a public hearing on a bond for a Payloader. Moved by Justice Evans, seconded by Councilwoman Oliva, In the Matter of the Acquisition of a Payloader for the Southold Solid Waste Management District, in the Town of Southold, in the County of Suffolk, New York, pursuant to Section 202-b of the Town Law. ORDER CALLING PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON FEBRUA/~Y 20, 1997 WHEP~S, the Town Board of the Town of Southold (herein called "TOWn Board', and "Town", respectively), in the County of Suffolk, New York, on behalf of the Southold Solid Waste Management District, heretofore established and now existing in the Town (herein called "District"), has determined that it is necessary to acquire a paYloader, at the estimated cost of $90,000 for use in the operations of the District; Now, therefore, be it ORDERED, that a meeting of the Town Board of the Town be held at the Town Hall, Southold, New York, in the Town, on the 20th day of February, 1997 at 5:00 o'clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) to consider said acquisition of a payloader at the estimated total cost of $90,000 for use in the operations of the District and to hear all persons interested in the subject thereof concerning the same and for such other action on the part of the Town Board with relation thereto as may be required by law; and be it, JANUARY 29, 1997 32i~', FURTHER ORDERED, t~at the Town Clerk publish at least once in "THE SUFFOLK TIMES," a newspaper published in Mattituck, New York, and hereby designated as the official newspaper of the Town for such publication, and post on the sign board of the Town maintained pursuant to subdivision 6 of Section 30 of the Town Law, a copy of this Order, certified by said Town Clerk, the first publication thereof and said posting to be not less than ten (10) nor more than twenty (20) days before the date of such public hearing. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Councilman Moore, Justice Evans, Councilwoman Oliva, Councilman Townsend, Councilwoman Hussie, Supervisor Cochran. This resolution was duly ADOPTED. SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: I would like a resolution to enter igto E,xecut~[ve Session to discuss employment history. EXECUTIVE SESSION - 1:17 P.M. Moved by Councilwoman Hussie, seconded by Councilwoman Oliva, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board enter into Executive Session to discuss employment history. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Councilman Moore, Justice Evans, Councilwoman Oliva, Councilman Townsend, Councilwoman Hussie, Supervisor Cochran.' This resolution was duly ADOPTED. Moved by Justice Evans, seconded by Councilwoman Hussie, it was RESOLVED that this Special Town Board meeting be and hereby is adjourned at 1:45 P.M.
